Video Guidelines:
Creative: :15 or :30 second pre-roll with synched display banner.
The preferred length is :15 to ensure maximum exposure across CNNMoney.com.

Tracking: pre-roll is site-served and clickable. Tracking pixels (which must return a 1x1 gif) must be submitted at the time the pre-roll is submitted. Tracking pixels will not be accepted post-launch.

Accepted Streaming Video Ad Delivery Formats:
  • Aspect Ratio: 16:9
  • Size: Full Screen
  • Tape-Based Media: Any standard-definition format Betacam: SP, SX, Digital Betacam, MPEG IMX
  • File-Based Media: Delivered on CD-R or DVD-R:
  • Uncompressed QuickTime, MPEG-2 Program or Transport Stream file, DV file, MXF

Soundtrack: All files must contain a soundtrack, even if the ad is to run without sound.

Synched Display Banners:

336x280 Banner (GIF or Rich Media)
  • Consistent with CNNMoney.com.com Rich Media Ad Guidelines
  • In-Banner 3rd party Rich Media / Site-served Flash
  • Branding studies/research questionnaires must have pop-up functionality disabled

  • Site-served gif/jpg with clickthrough URL
  • File size: 4K max
  • No 3rd Party tags
  • No animation
